Sorry that we have no pictures to share!
Special Thanks to our Amazing Jeanie for coordinating a very informative swim clinic. On Thursday, Dave and Jenny Latourette did a dry land clinic to discuss correct body position and how to be economic in our swim movement. They also covered tools and the correct ways to use pool buoys, paddles and fins. Then on Sunday, we moved in to the pool and received some great training. Some times it really pays to have someone stand on the deck and let you know what they see. This is one of many clinics that we will be hosting. The off season is the perfect time to sharpen your tools, you can never stop learning!
Update on the Jensie Gran Fondo:
The organizers of the Jensie are really excited to have us host one of their rest stops. They've been very kind to offer our volunteers a free ticket to next year's ride! They are also giving a discount to those club members who want to ride this year! This is a great way to promote our club, but we still need volunteers. Based on our last post this is who we have:Dominique Levenberg, Alex Lozano, John Gray, Sue Ostrom, Sue's husband Kevin, Alison Musco, Deirdre Geary. Please feel free to recruit a friend to help!
The ride is October 10th at 11:00am to 5:00pm. Its a bike rest station (The Shut up Legs" 100 mile course)and we will be hosting the stop at Laguna School on Chileno Valley Rd. The organizers will provide all of the rest station supplies, including food and hydration. They will drop it off and pick it up. We provide the 8-10 volunteers, tent, banner and any promotional materials we want. John will be handling all of the details with the organizers. Message Jeanie or John Gray if you can help or are riding and want the discount code.
It was a busy weekend for Club Echelon and it was a good one! Thank you to everyone who came out to participate and support the club.
Are you someone who is new to the sport and needs a nice event to get you comfy, Dana (your web mistress) hosts an event in October for beginner at Finley Aquatic Center.
The event is on Sunday, October 18th at 9am and is a 400m pool swim (all to ourselves), 9 mile bike ride on the Creek Trail and a 3.1 mile run on the trail. The cost of entry is $15 and if you would like a t-shirt, there is a $20 cost. Again, this event can be low-key, entry level to intermediate (I need to practice transitions event). Its up to you, but it local and the cost is just right.

Have a great day and if you are free to volunteer, let me know. I need about 2 course marshals.
Club Echeloners have been cruising around doing all kinds of events in August and I have been slacking on the updates. So here is a massive blast.
Congrats to everyone who has kept on keeping on and I possibly missed people, so please forgive and dont forget to send your pics to email@example.com
Thank you to everyone who helped over the weekend to help promote Club Echelon. We are working on increasing our membership and visibility and events like this help us move toward our goal. Special thanks to Jeanie for working tirelessly to make our poster and get us all organized.
